During almost three decades, Wolfgang has honed a unique background in environmental and climate finance markets by working in academia, risk management and underwriting, asset management, and project origination, development and management.  He has a deep knowledge of forestry and environmental commodity markets, with a special focus on the development of climate change risk solutions in the agricultural and land use sectors.  As a partner at Equator, LLC, in New York, he was responsible for originating, developing, and structuring environmental asset products on behalf of Equator LLC and its clients.  After Equator, he served as a technical expert for USAID, providing consulting services on issues related to the carbon markets.  Prior to joining Equator, Wolfgang served as VP of Swiss Re’s Environmental & Commodity Markets team in Zurich, Switzerland, which offers risk management, insurance, and traded and structured solutions in the energy, weather, and greenhouse gas markets.  He received his diploma in forestry sciences from the University of Freiburg in Germany and a Master of Environmental Management degree from the European Association for Environmental Management Education (EAEME).  He lives in Zurich, Switzerland as well as on Worden Hill Farm in Dundee, Oregon. Wolfgang holds FINRA licenses series 7 and 66.
